From the 12th of October, Malta International Airport will start to progressively implement the digital Entry/Exit System (EES). Third country nationals departing from or arriving in Malta may be randomly selected to pass through one of the biometric passport control lanes. You may be asked to provide your passport, take a photo or scan your fingerprints. Travellers having an EU passport will not be impacted. More information at maltairport.com/notifications/ees.
